3rdRail is a new IDE for accelerated web development recently announced by CodeGear using the Ruby language created in Japan by Yukihiro Matsumoto. Version 1.0 was released in September 2007

- Support for Rails 2.0,
- New debugger.
- Support for updating applications from Rails 1.x to 2.x.
